CHARACTERISTICS OF PATIENTS WITH SEVERE PREECLAMPSIA AT RSUD DR. SLAMET GARUT DISTRICT

Severe preeclampsia is characterized by an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 160 mmHg, or diastolic blood pressure of more than 110 mmHg, supported by laboratory test results showing protein > 5g / 24 hours. In developed countries, the incidence of severe preeclampsia ranges from 6-7% and eclampsia from 0.1-0.7%. At RSUD dr. Slamet Garut in 2022, there were 361 cases of severe preeclampsia, ranking second as a factor causing maternal mortality with a percentage of 21%. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the characteristics of patients with severe preeclampsia at RSUD dr. Slamet Garut Regency in 2022 using a quantitative descriptive research method. The target population is mothers who gave birth at RSUD dr. Slamet in 2022. The sample size was 78 people. Data collection used medical records. The stage in the statistical analysis used is univariate. The research results show that the non-risk age group of 20-35 years consists of 44 people (56%) and the risk parity group consists of 46 people (54%). So, severe preeclampsia occurs more frequently in the group of mothers with non-risky age and in the group of mothers with risky parity
