DESCRIPTION OF HEALTH MAINTENANCE IN THE NURSING HOME OF HARAPAN IBU SEMARANG CITY

Based on population projection data, it is estimated that in 2021 there will be 23.66 million elderly people in Indonesia (9.03percent). A country is said to have an old structure if it has an elderly population above seven percent. There are 19 provinces (55.88percent) of Indonesian provinces that have an old structure. Objective: This study aims to find out in depth about the description of elderly health care in the nursing home hopes of the city of Semarang. The design used in this study was descriptive qualitative research design. The object of this research is the caregivers of the elderly as many as four people and the elderly as many as 3 people. The results of the study can be seen that: promotive, namely counseling or health activities about personal hygiene, healthy lifestyles, elderly gymnastics and religious guidance. preventive, namely disease prevention is still assisted by health workers from outside the institution, curative, namely treatment of the elderly but only basic treatment is not treatment of severe illness, rehabilitative, namely the orphanage refers elderly people who experience severe disorders and caregivers participate in recovery in the form of mental and physical rehabilitation. Panti Werdha has one special training, namely culinary training. Promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative efforts are carried out in elderly homes in improving the health care of the elderly. Panti Werdha can further develop the standard operating procedures for Elderly Health Maintenance in the Home in maintaining the health of the elderly.
