Abstract

The stigma on living HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) did by the society. The PLWHA was treated differently
than others who make it afraid to expose their status as family or caretaker of HIV/AIDS sufferer,
wich would make the transmission of the HIV virus difficult to control, resulting in the ongoing
rise in the HIV/AIDS case. The writing of the literature was intended to identify how People Living
with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) picture the type of the stigma of society toward People Living with
HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). The study was used the journal entry or Literature review via electronic data
on Google scholar, Ebsqo which meets the inclusion criteria based on last data on 2010-2019 in
Indonesia, with 4 articles obtained from 15 articles that do not fit the inclusion criteria of 11
articles, whereas the inclusion criteria was a stigma on health care. This study shows that
communities still have a stigma on the PLWHA with a result that People Living with HIV/AIDS
(PLWHA) are still labeling or labeling the PLWHA as a punishment for their actions. Conclusion:
the stigma against PLWHA is a public stigma.
