Candida albicansis a normal flora fungusfound in the human body such as the mucosa, vagina,
nails, lungs and digestive tract. Infections that accors in women 18-22 years of pre- menstrual
usually causes itching in vaginal areas, yellowish brass, and gray vaginal discharge, then
unpleasant odor, and vaginal itching, and Candida albicans has characteristics on SDA media
characterized by colonies that grow with round shape and yellowish white, and when viewed
microscopically with 10x and 40x magnification, namely the presence of hyphae, and oval
round shape. This study aims to determine the description of Candida albicans in the urine of
Pre-menstrual women 18-22 years D3 Health Analyst STIKes Karsa Husada Garut, The desigh
of this study used an experimental research design is also because of whiteness, it is less
delicious and itchy in the vagina, and does not maintain the personal hygiene, especially
in vaginal areas that are prone to fungi, bacterial, viruses and parasites, the population used
is a female student aged 18-22 years D3 students Health Analyst STIKes Karsa Husada Garut,
the research sample consisted of 15 samples respondents. Urine samples were centrifuged
and planted on Saboraund Dextrose Agar (SDA) media and incubated for 7 days with
room temperature 22-25◦C, then macroscopic and microscopic examination of the fungal
colony was carried out.The results showed that of all respondents 40% positive and 60%
negative Candida albicans, obtained from those who experienced vaginal discharge that caused
itching (66,7%) did not cause itching (33,3%); the sources of water used such as taps are
obtained as much as (33,3%) well (60%) while PDAMs are as much as (6,7%). It is hoped
that young women will maintain the cleanliness of their reproductive organs before
mantruation to avoid Candida albicans, and can conduct further research on other factors
that cause the presence of Candida albicans which can cause vaginal discharge in
adolescents during pre-menstruation and post menstruation
